The Best Books of 2018

January 14, 2019

Last week when I was on Stories talking about a couple of books I took out of the library, I realized that I never shared my favorite books of 2018! I have posted about books in the past (you can see all book-related posts here!). I also track everything I’m reading in the goodreads app, though I’m pretty sure I missed a few books here and there this year. It makes it really easy to rate your reads on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, but it unfortunately can’t read my mind or fill in gaps when I forget to add them in.

Here are my five star books (which means they could be put into a “best books I’ve ever read” category):

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate (also blogged about this book here)

The Dollhouse by Fiona Davis

And my four star books (definitely worth checking out):

Still Me (Me Before You #3) by Jojo Moyes

Rapture Practice by Aaron Hartzler

Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls

Educated by Tara Westover

A Thousand Naked Strangers: A Paramedic’s Wild Ride to the Edge and Back by Kevin Hazzard

Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance
