Our Painted Interior Doors

September 23, 2020

When we were picking out paint during the renovation, I used Pinterest a LOT. (I highly recommend looking on Pinterest to see how various rooms look with a single paint color! Just search for “(paint color) living room” for example.

I kept coming across painted interior doors, which I hadn’t really considered. But I really liked the look and decided that if we got sick of it, we could just paint them back to white. Easy!

I took this ^ photo when I was working on deciding the final colors for the entire house. (For the record, that was extremely stressful for me! One room takes me long enough, but an entire house…)

When I put together the final color palette for the house, I included a blue color for the interiors of our doors on the first floor.

I LOVE THEM. It’s one of my favorite things on the first floor!

Now I’m thinking about doing the same to the upstairs doors to bring in some pops of color to an otherwise-extremely-neutral palette. (My painters told me my house has too much white in it. I tried to argue that they’re different shades of white but obviously that just got an eye roll haha!)

Do you like the trend?
