Redoing the Dining Room

After redoing our guest room and our master bedroom, there was one room left that I reeeeally wanted to change: the dining room. The people who lived here originally used this as a living room, so there was a massive coat closet. They painted it brown, because why wouldn’t you paint a small room a dark color? (eye roll) And the cable was run through the wall, so there is a lot of hardware on one wall (which we chose to cover with a large mirror).

Here’s what the room looked like “before” – dark walls, dark furniture, random closet.

(Excuse the poor iPhone photos!)

This room actually gets great light mid-day and is where I normally choose to work if I’m working from home. We won’t be changing the furniture in here, and we also will not be changing the light fixture – it has this little pineapple motif to it, which I love.

I’ll share more next week, so make sure you come back and see what the dining room looks like now!
