Weekend Recap

February 25, 2015

On Friday I had a sore throat and knew I had a cold coming on, and over the weekend it turned into a full-blown cold, which now has had me out of work for two days. My body doesn’t really know how to just get kind of sick, so even when I have a cold, it totally knocks me out. We did, however, have a pretty great weekend (despite feeling pretty crummy). Usually once a year we head up to Vermont to stay with family friends, typically in the summer, but this year we decided to take a February weekend trip up to enjoy the nearby skiing and Winter things.

Saturday afternoon it started to snow and we had a minor adventure at the end of the day (one car left in town because it couldn’t get up the hills, my car back at the house but driven into a snow bank which took a little while to fix), but Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day. Like running around in the snow, sledding-without-a-coat kind of day.

Sprout absolutely loved running around and even made friends with the hunting dogs who live there.

It was such a nice weekend to just get away from our daily routine, but we came home to a bit of water damage in the house from all of the ice and snow. That just means we’re onto our next adventure, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰
