It doesn’t look like I’m going to make my goal of reading 40 books this calendar year (I’m only at 23 right now), but I’m surprised that I made it this far! 40 was definitely a stretch goal.
Primates of Park Avenue
I was surprised and taken aback by the way Upper East Side moms treat newcomers. The author is a social researcher and compares her experiences to the experiences of primates in the wild, as well as other peoples around the globe. Honestly, I’m amazed that she didn’t move back “South” after what she writes about in the beginning. I don’t want to spoil anything, so you will have to read to know what I’m talking about, but it is crazy to me that the other moms couldn’t fully accept her until something tragic happened.
