Master Bedroom Redo

October 27, 2015

When T and I moved in together almost five years ago, we were both coming from apartment living and had little furniture. I remember how empty the living room felt the night before the furniture truck showed up to bring our new couch and love seat, and how everything sounded so echoey because the only rooms in the house that had furniture were the bedroom and guest bedroom.

We’ve slowly done one room at a time while maintaining what I like to call our “organized chaos” of a life. I finally got the gray tufted couch I’ve wanted for the sitting room, the guest bedroom got a neutral (and travel-themed) makeover, we redid the living room to be much brighter, and I’m working on the dining room now. One room that has really bothered me, though, is the master bedroom, so I’m slightly ashamed that it’s taken until now to really do it over.

I started working with a designer from Laurel & Wolf, an online interior design company, and I’m thrilled at how it’s going so far. Here’s a sneak peek at what my designer and I are working on. I can’t wait to see the finished product (and share it)!
