We love to travel, so looking back on all of our 2019 travels was so fun! It also made me realize that we forgot to add a few ornaments to our tree this year. (It's one of our family traditions to get an ornament when we go somewhere new.) Two of my forever-popular posts are how to fly with a baby and how to fly with a toddler. If you have kids (or will soon), I hope those posts are helpful to you! We started traveling with E when she was just a couple of months old, and I honestly think that …

Maine Family Vacation
I last vacationed in Maine around the age of 10, so it had been a hot minute. But I found a new appreciation for Kennebunkport when we visited in August with my family! My dad has been trying to make a family vacation happen for a while (aside from our normal summer trips to the Cape), so we were all pretty psyched when this worked out. Granted, my older sister had a baby the prior week and was unable to join us for our Maine vacation, we're still counting it a win! I was hoping for nice …
Our Favorite Sedona Hiking Trails
Before we visited Arizona in May, we prepared for a true family hiking trip. We bought a backpack kid carrier specifically for this trip (we got this one). To prepare for the Sedona hiking trails, we took E on local hikes, and we planned out which trails we wanted to check out that were supposedly family friendly. We planned to do one day trip to the Grand Canyon, and all other hiking was local to Sedona. Our hiking was mostly the two of us plus E (20 months old) in our kid carrier. She …
Our Harvard Square Staycation
When we initially talked about our renovation (and living with our families), we also talked about taking a staycation here and there. I don't know why we haven't until now, but last weekend we stayed in Harvard Square (in Cambridge, just outside of Boston). It was so needed, and I want to plan another soon! We chose to stay at The Charles Hotel, one of our favorite spots. (When T and I first met, it was at a work event at The Charles. Our first date was just down the street at a …
Chicago with a Toddler: Where to Stay + What to Do
T had a work trip to Chicago last month, and I decided to join him and explore the city. I've been to Chicago twice before: Once back in 2010 when T and I visited for a few days, and again for just one night on our way to Bangkok. I have never been with kids, though, so it was an entirely new experience going to Chicago with a toddler. Today I'm breaking down our trip: What we did, where we stayed, and where to find the best playground for kids. How kid-friendly is Chicago? Chicago is …
