Family beach vacation + what to pack

Family beach vacation + what to pack

Last summer we took our first beach vacation as a family of four- with a not-quite-3 year old and a newborn in tow! We spent a few days on Cape Cod with family, with full days on the beach. I have never been one to spend tons of time in the sun (hi, pale skin). The baby wasn't even two months old, so I was a little nervous about the trip, but it went so well. I was so happy that I decided last minute to buy this beach pop up baby dome infant tent, because it came in handy. I wasn't sure where …

Where to Go: Weekend on Cape Cod

Where to Go: Weekend on Cape Cod

I went to the mid-Cape (that's Cape Cod) every summer pretty much my entire life, so it's always fun to get back when I can! It seems like more and more people are visiting the Cape every year, so today I'm sharing some of my favorite spots. Bookmark this for your potential future trips. If you aren't sure where to stay on the Cape, it comes down to a few different factors. We decided to visit Nantucket in the fall recently. It was the best decision! Getting to Nantucket Year round you can take the ferry, either with a vehicle (which takes about 2 hours from the Cape to Nantucket) or without a vehicle and for a bit more per ticket (takes about an hour). Cape Air (which was bought by jetBlue a few years …

76 Main Hotel Review (Nantucket Hotels)

Last weekend we took a mini getaway to Nantucket and stayed at 76 Main. It's an adorable property on Main Street (and the only Nantucket hotel on Main!). The hotel underwent a huge renovation in 2013, but you'd think it was just done last week because everything is so on-trend (and Instagrammable, too!). Shirt I've been living in If you've never been to Nantucket before, you need to know that there are a few things you will see almost everywhere. Here are what I consider the most …

Cape Cod Recap – 8 Days in Chatham

A couple of weeks ago we spent 8 incredible days on the Cape that went by wayyyy too fast. We rented a house in Chatham (on the elbow of Cape Cod) with my sister and her husband, as well as my mom. My other sister rented a house in the same town with her in-laws. And we ALL brought our dogs. It was such a fun week! Have you been to Chatham (Cape Cod)? Wanted to go for July 4th? Cape Cod for July 4th The Fourth of July is a prime week on Cape Cod, and it is B-U-S-Y. Where in the off-season …
