Golden Globes Best Dressed

January 13, 2015

Last night’s Golden Globe Awards had some gorgeous (and, to be fair, not-so-gorgeous) styles on the red carpet. My pick for overall winner? Yellow gowns with a bold red lip. Having pale skin and auburn hair, I probably will never own a yellow garment; but it’s nice to appreciate the fashion risk that yellow can sometimes be!

I’m also obsessing over the column gown that Jenna Dewan-Tatum wore. It’s such a refreshing look compared to the typical strapless dress! (And can someone tell Leslie Mann that she needs to actually smile instead of making a chicken face?) I digress…

My other favorite looks of the night range from ballet-inspired Elie Saab and floral beaded to misty blue on Amy Adams, and finally, to a Lanvin pantsuit with a side bow thing that I cannot get over. Emma Stone took a risk wearing pants to an awards show, and it definitely paid off. She looks chic without looking like she’s trying too hard. Almost like “oh, I was out to dinner and thought I’d just swing by and say hello”. Win!

Reese was by far my most favorite, hands down. Diane Kreuger looked amazing too.

    And Keira Knightley. UGH.

Reese looked gorgeous! That dress was great on her. And totally agree on Keira.
