So... winter is officially on the way in the Northeast. As I type this it's 8pm and the 5-day forecast shows snow. SNOW. I don't think I'm ready. For years I refused to buy a parka, but I finally got this knee-length parka in navy a couple of years ago. It has been SO much better having a huge winter coat! (Vs just fleece zip ups and car coats) It's really hard to find cute winter coats when you're looking at sub-zero temperatures. The one I bought 100% does its job in keeping me cozy …

Weekend in Vermont
We spent the weekend up in Vermont outside of cell phone service range. We made the three hour drive on Friday afternoon, getting to the house just around dinner time. T's family has an old family friend who lives near Okemo, and they've visited each year for 20+ years. (This is the same place we went to last winter around this time!) The property is quintessential Vermont: rolling hills, green acres, and lots of nothing for miles. There's a 3-bedroom guest house not too far from the main …
Weekending Vol. 31
Well, we made it to another Friday, friends. Last weekend was a little bit of a bummer with the home team getting knocked out of the playoffs. Alyssa, a lifestyle blogger from San Diego, wrote about how she almost got a dog last weekend. I think she was realistic in her decision, don't you? P.S. …
How to Survive a Blizzard
I thought it was a little silly when I heard yesterday that an inch of snow in DC made for 5-hour commutes for some people, and then I remembered that not everyone chooses to live in an area where the snow shows up - and stays, for months on end. Since I'm a New England girl (born and raised), I thought I'd give some words of advice to those of you in the mid-Atlantic states, prepping to take on #Snowmaggedon2016. You don't need 3 loaves of bread per person. Seriously, you will …
Getting back on track
Is anyone else having a really hard time getting back into the swing of things after the holidays? The struggle is real, my friends! It's like I forgot how to wake up every morning at a normal time, just from having a few days where I let myself sleep in. Even with the struggle, I always find January to be an exciting time. And aside from some projects I'm working on as my #sidehustle, there are a few specific things I'm really excited about. Winter vaca So it's not a real Winter break …
