As I’m getting older, I find that I’m gravitating toward finding my sartorial “uniform”. I want my clothes to be less trendy and better share my personality: That’s what they’re supposed to do, right? On a typical Fall or Winter day, you’ll find me in skinny jeans, a top in my favorite color, and boots. That’s why I chose what I did for our engagement photos.
In January I shared with you my “one-in-one-out” resolution, which I think I’m doing pretty well with. (T may disagree, but I really am!) Where my closet was once a mish-mash of sequins, prints, and plaid, I’m moving toward replacing those items with more classic pieces, like these jeans that fit me perfectly, these boots in suede (which I saw at a fashion show in the fall and stalked until they went on sale), and this navy handbag. I recently tried Stitch Fix but sent back all items when I had a hard time picturing what items I would replace them for.
Now, to help you build your dream wardrobe, I’ve teamed up with a group of bloggers to give away $800 to Nordstrom!

Been thinking of trying a pink lip color for a while. Thanks for recommendation!

I have the same issues and am trying to do a massive amount of stuff out and very little replacing.
love that borrowed from the boys shirt!
It can be really hard! I think it's preventing me from shopping a lot because I got rid of so much at the beginning of my clean out!
