Boston-area Need to Know

September 26, 2014

Fall is settling in nicely, and I feel like the calendar is just as busy as it was in July! How did that happen? Isn’t Fall supposed to be a restful time?

If you’re in the Boston area, there are a couple of things you need to know about.

First, you all know I love animals. If you’re in Lynnfield this weekend (or until November 30), you can drop off an item or two for the Northeast Animal Shelter at everyone’s favorite adult playground, Sephora. NEAS is in dire need of toys for the pups, and here’s the rest of their “most wanted” list.

Next, Glamour and GQ are co-hosting some fab events at area malls this weekend, including LookBook Live at the Burlington Mall on Saturday (tomorrow!) with style presentations, Q&A, and giveaways from 1-6pm. A couple of my fellow Boston bloggers will be there to help style you! Send a photo of your favorite fall look inspired by the LookBook trends using both #foundatsimon and #gcglamourcontestentry for the opportunity to win a $2,500 shopping spree at a Simon shopping center.

If you live closer to South Shore Plaza, they’re hosting beauty bars and sweepstakes from noon-5pm tomorrow with Refinery29. Anyone who posts their style on Instagram or Twitter using #FoundAtSimon #Contest will be entered to win a $1,500 gift card from Simon.
