A(nother) Welcome!

June 10, 2014

New blog (again)? I know, it’s only been a few months since ruffle and curl became Glitter Trim, but shortly after the name change, I realized it’s not what I wanted. I wanted to have a fresh start with a blog that was a lot more focused on personal style, home style, and Boston. What I did was port my old content into the new layout and call it a day. #lazy

So what is feathers and stripes? I started with this blog name 5 years ago, before ultimately deciding to go with ruffle and curl. It fits my style – I’m obsessed with feathers in the home (someday I’ll introduce you to my peacock statue), and I wear a lot of stripes.

What will you find here?
Inspiration for home and personal style. My personal style (or lack thereof, you get to decide). And things I love about my favorite city, Boston. With my upcoming wedding, I will have days where all I want to talk about is wedding style, reception style, and honeymoons.

What about the old stuff?
glittertrim.blogspot.com and ruffleandcurl.blogspot.com are both still active, so you can go back and find older content if your heart so desires.

Welcome to feathers and stripes! I hope you will come back and enjoy the journey with me.

Good for you. I think finding the niche in which you are most comfortable writing about, and that is your passion. Congrats on the "new" start.
