5 Favorite iPhone Apps for Productivity

I’m patiently waiting to be able to upgrade my iPhone 4S, after which I hope to have a lot more storage space. In the meantime, though, I’m only keeping my favorite apps so that I can have the space I need to take photos.

So which apps get to stay?

RunKeeper
I pretend sometimes that I’m a runner, and this app is my favorite of all the ones I’ve tried. It keeps track of my workouts, and I love that during a run it will tell me at intervals where I am. I have it set to talk to me at each quarter mile and also on 5-minute intervals so I can keep track of my pace.

Waze
I’m amazed that there are people who don’t yet use Waze. It makes a big difference in my morning commute if I have to drive instead of take the train, telling me little shortcuts to take to avoid traffic. It actually helped me cut off 20 minutes one day heading to school after work! (My friend and I left the office at the same time, but I got there almost 20 minutes ahead of her!)

TurboScan
This is my new favorite app, thanks to Carly! It takes a photo of a document and saves it as a PDF, which is a huge time saver. It’s well worth the $2.99 if you often need to save and email documents as a PDF.

Goodreads
For a while my friends and I would share books we enjoyed via email or text, but I love this app. It lets you see what is on your friends’ reading lists, lets you rate books you have read, and gives you suggestions for new books to read based on those ratings. One of my favorite parts about using the app is that I can set an annual goal (for 2015 mine is to read 40 books!) and then see how many books I’ve read in a year.

Amazon
Because duh. I’m one of those people who has an Amazon package waiting at home at least once a week. I rarely go to the store anymore if it can be found on Amazon!

What’s your favorite app?
